They Did It So I Can Too!

What are you watching & listening to?

What are you watching & listening to?

Is it inspiring? Does it energize or drain you? Does it include people you would want to associate with or not?

Do not get me wrong I certainly can find pleasure in reality shows but I also recognize the power of surrounding myself with what I want to be or have. We are a product of the sum of who we surround ourselves with and this includes what we watch, listen to, and follow on social media.

If you want more balance as an entrepreneur then make sure you are listening to those that have accomplished that. If you want supportive relationships then watch and listen to those that have that. If you want be successful and break thru professional challenges then be inspired by those you watch or follow.

Our sources of inspiration can be in our direct circle or not.

They can be our neighbor, old high school pal, our new favorite podcast host, or TiK Tock infatuation. As long as they are somewhat relatable and have or do what you are working toward.

Research has demonstrated for decades how living things are more likely to accomplish a task if they see others similar to them achieving it themselves. This is why it is incredibly important that we always have a circle of those that expand our perspective to seeing we can have what is healthiest and fulfilling.

Notice how you feel emotionally and physically after you scroll or watch a show.

If you experience anxiety, hopelessness, or stress then the material you are consuming is not moving toward any positive goal you have. Do an audit of all you ingest and connect with and weed out the sources that do not represent what you want in your own life!
