At Mindful Power our therapists have dedicated a large portion of their post-graduate training on CBT and RECBT interventions, including the completion of multiple certification levels via the Aaron Beck and Albert Ellis Institutes.

it can be one of the most challenging times in a woman’s life.

Fertility challenges have become increasingly more frequent among many individuals. Having to navigate thru the challenges related to attending doctor’s visits, monitoring ovulation, hormonal medications, pregnancy loss can truly be exhausting on many levels.

In addition, pregnancy and/or postpartum period can often bring various levels of anxiety and depression. This can include anxious thoughts related to sleep, health concerns, scheduling challenges, dropping the baby, being in public with the baby, etc. Some new parents may feel disconnected with themselves, the baby, their partner and/or yearning for their “life before”.

Talking through these challenges and exploring the various ways of coping with them can greatly reduce the negative emotional impact of the experiences.

  • Perinatal Support Group- a therapeutic support group for new moms facing postpartum anxiety and/or depression. This group is led by Mollie Busino, LCSW & Jayne Freeman , Postpartum Doula
  • Managing Mental Load Of Moms- a therapeutic group for moms of children 2 yr old and older to share and discuss ways to cope with parenting, self care, relationship challenges, expectations and responsibilities, etc This group is led by Lesley Neadel, LSW.
  • Birth Trauma Workshop- a two morning workshop for moms who have experienced a birth trauma. The workshop focuses on processing and sharing the trauma while providing coping skills for a healing.
  • Postpartum Prevention Program- a two day program focused on educating about the risk factors and frequent challenges and sharing various tools for creating a healthy postpartum period in all aspects.
  • Single Parents by Choice Group- a therapeutic group for single individuals that are pursuing parenthood. This group is led by Fertility Counseling Specialist, Mollie Busino, LCSW.


Mindfulness the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something.

At Mindful Power we recognize the challenge (and unrealistic expectation) to slow down or remain fully present minute to minute…However, we also understand the connection between mindfulness and decreased anxiety, stress, depression, and communication challenges. At Mindful Power we recognize how influential technology is in our daily lives and as a result have seen the importance and strength of using it to support the enhancement of our clinical work. This includes the use of Spire, a device that measures the one’s stress, anxiety, and sleep. We then utilize the information gathered to develop a means of reducing stress and anxiety specifically targeted to the uniqueness of our clients’ needs. In addition to Spire, we integrate Meditation Apps, and Virtual Reality for addressing phobias/fears.


Child & Adolescent Therapy
