Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

EMDR has been growing in popularity over the last few years as it continues to show such powerful therapeutic results. EMDR’s goal is to reprocess traumatic thoughts and memories, allowing the brain to heal and adapt to a healthier state. It involves alternating stimulation of both sides of the brain. This can be achieved through various techniques, such as guided eye movements, tactile sensations, or auditory cues. Ultimately the results can be life changing.

EMDR has been proven to be effective with addressing a variety of challenges such as:

  • Trauma: Helps with reprocessing events so that it limits their impact on an individual’s current and future well-being
  • Anxiety & Phobias: Identifies and targets the underlying thoughts and beliefs as a means of limiting their future influence
  • Self Esteem: Low self-esteem often stems from negative past experiences and self-limiting beliefs. EMDR can be used to reframe these beliefs, promoting a healthier self-concept.
  • Depression: Targets the root causes of depressive feelings
  • Performance Enhancement: Addresses performance anxiety and unlocks an individual’s full potential
  • Grief: Helps an individual in processing their grief and finding a way to move forward.
  • Relationships: Addresses past relationship traumas and resolves conflicts.
