Lisa Dunn

Lisa works with her clients to find their own peace and stability while moving through life’s ever-present challenges.

Lisa believes in taking time to establish a warm, safe environment where meaningful work can take place. Her style is always individualized and goal-driven, based on each client’s personal objectives for therapy. She believes in a humanistic, strengths-based approach that incorporates multiple therapeutic modalities. Lisa also integrates her background as a yoga and meditation instructor into her work. She is passionate about sharing an understanding of the holistic connection between body and mind.

Lisa has over twelve years of therapeutic experience that includes work with:

  • Individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and OCD
  • Extensive training and work with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence
  • Working mothers
  • Couples in the midst of common life transitions
  • Young professionals and college students adapting to increased independence
  • Parents of children with disabilities
  • Families and Couples in need of resolving conflict and strengthening communication skills
  • Individuals exploring their pattern of substance use
  • Families who have experienced disruption: including separation, divorce and loss
  • Individuals who have experienced trauma

Lisa welcomes all clients, and is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. She is an advocate for women’s empowerment; helping women of all ages shape their lives in ways that establish a strong foundation for self-determination. Lisa earned her Ph.D. in Urban Systems, providing a deep understanding of historic societal inequity and it’s connection to individual mental and physical health. Her professional background also includes nineteen years in education, non-profit leadership, grant-writing, advocacy and crisis intervention.
